When Rune is called the old character of the Germans. The collective term includes characters of different alphabets, and in temporal and regionally differing use. Runes on the one hand as a sign for one sound to be written (Alphabet font), on the other hand as a sign stand for the respective terms, whose names they bear. In addition, they can represent numbers or be used as a magic sign.
